His career includes pivotal roles at Ancestry.com, where he worked on population and statistical genetics, and the Utah Center for Genetic Discovery, where he developed advanced tools, pipelines, and machine learning methods to address rare and undiagnosed diseases.

At Invitae and Fabric Genomics, Dr. Cormier advanced access and use of precision medicine through pipeline development, algorithm optimization, and statistical analysis for cutting-edge genomic tools. As Director of Bioinformatics at Fabric Genomics and Baylor Genetics, he has led cross-functional teams to advance genomic data analysis, variant detection, variant prioritization, and many other multi-omics applications. His expertise spans the entire development lifecycle, from early-stage vision and planning to production releases and ongoing optimization.
